SCHATTEN

“SCHATTEN” (Shaddows)
short fiction film, Austria, 22min, MiniDV, 2003

Cast: Alexander Pschill, Annett Renneberg

During a holiday vacation with his girl friend, a man accidentally films a young girl climbing the ledge of a bridge. Then she has suddenly disappeared. The uncertainty of what has happened leads the man to turn the camera upon himself thereby documenting his own inner fall.

„ICH HABE MAL GEHÖRT, DASS MAN DURCH EINEN FLUSS GEHT,
WENN MAN STIRBT. DU GEHST DURCH DIESEN FLUSS UND DER
WÄSCHT ALLES VON DIR, DEINE ERINNERUNGEN, DAS, WAS DU
GEMACHT HAST, ALS DU NOCH GELEBT HAST. EINFACH ALLES.
UND DANN BIST DU NUR NOCH EIN SCHATTEN.”
